During our Sports Recovery Treatment, you will spend the first part of the treatment using the Game Ready Products on one specified body part. Game Ready integrates intermittent pneumatic compression and cryotherapy to reduce pain and swelling, reduce muscle spasms, enhance lymphatic function, encourage cellular oxygen supply, and stimulate tissue repair. Following the Game Ready Treatment, you will receive Cold Laser Therapy on one specified body part. Cold Laser or Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) is a treatment that utilizes specific wavelengths of light to interact with tissue and is thought to help accelerate the healing process. It can help eliminate pain, swelling, reduce spasms and increase functionality.

Dr. Samantha Ruby graduated from Lycoming College in Pennsylvania in 2010 with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and minor in Biology. She discovered her passion for injury rehabilitation through her athletic background in basketball at the high school and collegiate levels, as she utilized her personal drive and compassion to return to the court following numerous knee injuries.
After gaining experience as a physical therapy aide, she went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in 2013. Since graduating, she has expanded her skill set through years of experience in both acute care at a Level 1 trauma center and outpatient physical therapy. She was part of a pilot team that introduced physical therapy services into the emergency department setting and learned to combine her experience in both settings to allow for improved access to care. She is also a 200+ hour certified yoga instructor and enjoys drawing from her yoga background to help patients get back to their daily activities with an individualized and holistic approach.
In her free time, Dr. Ruby enjoys hiking LA trails, biking by the beach, and spending time with her goldendoodle puppy. She is very excited to join the team at BASE Training and Physical Therapy and is looking forward to sharing her expertise with the surrounding community.
